.SHORT TERM...
(Tonight through Thursday night)

Wx map shows the surface low associated with post tropical
cyclone Beryl over NE AR/SE MO/W TN. Trailing band of scattered
showers and a few thunderstorms continues across the coastal
waters. Inland, slightly drier air at the surface with dewpoints
near 70/lower 70s with mid 70s across Acadiana. Afternoon temperatures
in the upper 80s to near 90 expected to rise a couple of degrees
into the lower 90s.

For tonight, expect scattered showers and a few thunderstorms across
the coastal waters, with some increase in coverage overnight into
Wednesday morning. For Wednesday afternoon, isolated to scattered
showers expected over the I-10 corridor of Acadiana. Further
west, expect less than 20% chance of precipitation. Afternoon
highs in the lower to mid 90s. Most of the precipitation expected
to dissipate by sunset, with scattered showers continuing across
the coastal waters overnight. Lows in the lower to mid 70s.

For Thursday, ongoing scattered showers and thunderstorms over the
coastal waters expected to advance northward as southerly flow
becomes more established across the area. Thus, slightly higher
chances over 40-50% over Acadiana, with 20-30% further west across
Southwest Louisiana/Southeast Texas along the I-10 corridor.
Afternoon highs in the lower to mid 90s.
