...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast South Carolina, including the
  following counties, Darlington, Dillon, Florence and Marlboro.

* WHEN...Until 1030 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 729 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
    have fallen across the advisory area with an additional 1 to
    2 inches possible during the next few hours.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Florence, Darlington, Timmonsville, Quinby, Florence
    Darlington Technical College Main Campus, Mechanicsville,
    Brownsville, Effingham, Bingham, Blenheim, Mcleod Regional
    Medical Center, Health South Rehabilitation Hospital,
    Carolinas Hospital System - Cedar Tower and Carolinas
    Hospital System.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
