583 AWUS83 KICT 032147 RWSICT KSZ032-033-047>053-067>072-082-083-091>096-098>100-041000- Regional Weather Summary National Weather Service Wichita KS 447 PM CDT Wed Jul 3 2024 Scattered showers and isolated storms continued throughout the day across most of South central and Southeast Kansas. Many locations have picked-up a quarter inch or greater of rainfall today. Clouds and rain held down temperatures today with late afternoon readings ranging from the upper 80s across north central Kansas to the middle 70s across south central Kansas. Scattered showers and isolated storms will continue early this evening across south central and eastern Kansas along with much of Missouri. In addition, storms are expected from western Nebraska into eastern Colorado and western Kansas. As the overnight hours progress, storms will spread into southern Nebraska and northern Kansas and will become more widespread across eastern Kansas and Missouri. Some severe storms along with heavy rainfall can be expected with this activity tonight. For the Fourth of July, morning showers and storms are forecast across eastern Nebraska and Eastern Kansas into Missouri along with Iowa. By the afternoon hours, the best storm chances will be from southeast Kansas into central Missouri along a cold front. Overnight lows are expected to range from the 50s across western Nebraska to the upper 70s across eastern Oklahoma. Look for highs on Thursday to range from the 70s across most of Nebraska to around 100 over central and southern Oklahoma. $$
