In 1985, a thunderstorm dumped 3.65 inches of rain on Goodland
Kansas. July 1985 saw 10.10 inches of rain, the wettest month ever
in Goodland.

In 1988, late afternoon and evening thunderstorms in the Central
Plains Region produced baseball size hail at Kimball Nebraska and
wind gusts to 79 MPH at Colby Kansas.
