810 WGUS85 KFGZ 200211 FLSFGZ Flood Advisory National Weather Service Flagstaff AZ 711 PM MST Fri Jul 19 2024 AZC025-200515- /O.NEW.KFGZ.FA.Y.0019.240720T0211Z-240720T0515Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Yavapai AZ- 711 PM MST Fri Jul 19 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 PM MST THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of west central Arizona, including the following county, Yavapai. * WHEN...Until 1015 PM MST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in creeks and normally dry washes is imminent or occurring. Dangerous flooding over low-water crossings. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 710 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.25 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Alkali Wash, Sycamore Creek, Tank Creek, Burnt Wash, Eastwood Creek, Loco Creek, Kirkland Creek, Santa Maria River, Cottonwood Canyon and Smith Canyon. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... mainly rural areas of Yavapai County - Visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for more information on flood safety.
