Fire Weather Planning Forecast for New Mexico and Far West Texas
National Weather Service El Paso TX/Santa Teresa NM
207 PM MDT Sun Jul 21 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Abundant moisture remains over the region with at least another
few days of scattered showers and thunderstorms, espcially over
the mountains. Moist conditions have resulted in high dew points
and minimum RH values in the upper 20s to lower 30s in the
lowlands with 40s and 50s in the mountains with decent
overnight recoveries. Easterly winds will remain light during the
day, except near thunderstorms with gusts of 25 to 20 mph. Light
terrain driven drainage winds are expected overnight. Vent rates
during the day will be in the good category.
