.DISCUSSION...A shortwave trough will clip N CA today, creating a
brief southerly wind surge. Terrain funneled and ridgetop winds
will be strongest in NE Trinity in the afternoon with gusts of
20 to 25 mph for a few hours, creating locally critical fire
weather conditions. Otherwise, dry and climatologically normal
conditions prevail through the work week. There is the potential
for thunderstorms again this weekend, but at this point the
probability is low.
