Solar Activity

.24 hr Summary...
Solar activity reached moderate levels. Low level M-class activity was
observed late in the period from the SE limb. AR 3738 (S09E44,
Ekc/beta-gamma) produced most of the C-class flare activity observed
this period, and continued to show signs of growth. The remaining
regions were mostly stable or in gradual decay. No Earth-directed CMEs
were observed in available coronagraph imagery.

.Forecast...
Solar activity is expected to be low over 08-10 Jul, with a chance for
isolated M-class (R1-R2/Minor-Moderate) flare activity.

Energetic Particle

.24 hr Summary...
The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to moderate levels
and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux was steady at background levels.

.Forecast...
The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to continue at normal
to moderate levels over 08-10 Jul. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux
is expected to persist at background levels through 10 Jul.

Solar Wind

.24 hr Summary...
Solar wind parameters became slightly enhanced after 07/1200 UTC. Total
field strength ranged 1-8 nT and Bz briefly reached as far south as -6
nT. Solar wind speeds were steady at around 300-350 km/s through 1200
UTC, and increased to a peak of around 400 km/s shortly after. The phi
was positive through much of the period, and became variable after
07/1800 UTC.

.Forecast...
Slightly enhanced solar wind conditions are likely over 08-09 Jul in
response to positive polarity CH HSS influences.

Geospace

.24 hr Summary...
The geomagnetic field reached unsettled levels late in the period due to
a period of southward Bz.

.Forecast...
Quiet to unsettled conditions are expected over 08-09 Jul, with periods
of active conditions likely on 08 Jul, in response to positive polarity
CH HSS influences.
