National Weather Service State College PA
540 AM EDT Sun Jul 7 2024

An area of surface high pressure over the Ohio River Valley will
build northeast and become centered over Pennsylvania later
tonight and Monday.

This weather feature will provide clear to partly cloudy
skies, light wind, moderate to high humidity and very warm
to hot daytime temperatures in the 80s to low 90s today and
mid 80s to mid 90s for both Monday and Tuesday.

Heat index values will stay below 95 degrees across the Lower
Susquehanna Valley today as a result of the lower dewpoints than
recent days and will range from the low 80s to around 90 degrees
respectively across the Northern and Western Mtns and Middle
Susquehanna Valley. The heat index could reach triple digits again
Monday and Tuesday afternoon.

Skies will be mainly clear tonight with some fog forming once
again throughout the valleys of Northern PA.

Low temperatures tonight will range from the upper 50s across the
Northwest Mountains to a still very warm mid 70s in and around the
greater Philadelphia Metro Area.

The chance for rain increases by Tuesday with scattered afternoon
and early evening showers and thunderstorms.
