...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS APPROACHING CHARLESTON HAROR AND NEARBY
AREAS...

The areas affected include...
Charleston Harbor...
Waters from South Santee River to Edisto Beach SC out 20 NM...

* At 448 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms,
  capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These strong
  thunderstorms were located along a line from 16 NM northwest of
  Wappoo Cut to 7 NM north of Capers Island Buoy, moving south at 10
  knots.

Locations impacted include...
  Rattlesnake Shoal, Charleston Coastal Anglers, Air Force Reef,
  Charleston Nearshore Reef, Capers Island Buoy, Charleston Harbor
  Entrance, Crab Bank, Castle Pinkney, Capers Reef and Wappoo Cut.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

These thunderstorms will likely produce winds to around 30 knots,
and could pose a serious hazard for boaters. A Special Marine
Warning may eventually be required when these storms reach the
nearshore waters. Boaters should consider heading for shore before
the storm arrives.
