...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT LITCHFIELD AND SOUTHEASTERN
DUTCHESS COUNTIES THROUGH 730 AM EDT...

At 623 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Lake Carmel, moving northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 30 to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Torrington, New Milford, Sherman, Pawling, Thomaston, Litchfield,
Northwest Harwinton, Oakville, Terryville, Woodbury Center,
Gaylordsville, New Preston, Winsted, Watertown, Plymouth, Woodbury,
Harwinton, Bethlehem, Washington, and Goshen.

Rainfall rates may approach a half an inch to an inch an hour from
this thunderstorm.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead
to localized urban and poor drainage flooding. Do not drive your
vehicle through flooded roadways.
