...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL CHESTERFIELD...
SOUTHEASTERN GOOCHLAND...NORTHWESTERN HENRICO...SOUTHWESTERN HANOVER
AND POWHATAN COUNTIES AND THE CITY OF RICHMOND THROUGH 730 PM EDT...

At 636 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near Goochland, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
  Sabot around 645 PM EDT.
  Manakin around 650 PM EDT.
  Tuckahoe around 700 PM EDT.
  Wyndham around 710 PM EDT.
  Richmond and Laurel around 715 PM EDT.
  Lakeside and Glen Allen around 720 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this storm include Crozier, Rock Castle,
Maidens, Irwin, Johnsons Springs, Elmont, Montrose, Solomons Store,
Chamberlayne, and Fine Creek Mills.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
central and east central Virginia.
