GEORGE...DINWIDDIE AND SOUTHEASTERN AMELIA COUNTIES...THE CITY OF
COLONIAL HEIGHTS...THE CITY OF HOPEWELL AND THE CITY OF PETERSBURG
THROUGH 915 PM EDT...

At 836 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Mannboro to 7 miles west of Sutherland to
near Dewitt. Movement was east to northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, heavy rain, and frequent
         lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Reduced visibility and minor flooding
         possible. Frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Dinwiddie and Dewitt around 840 PM EDT.
  Sutherland around 845 PM EDT.
  Matoaca around 850 PM EDT.
  Petersburg around 855 PM EDT.
  Colonial Heights, Chester, Virginia State University, Ettrick, and
  Chesterfield Court House around 900 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by these storms include Birchett Estate,
Addison, Ammon, Jordan Point Country Club, Petersburg National
Battlefield, Pocahontas State Park, Church Road, Beach, Richard Bland
College, and Meadowville.
