The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Chesapeake Bay from New Point Comfort to Little Creek VA...
  Chesapeake Bay from Windmill Point to New Point Comfort VA...
  York River...

* Until 515 PM EDT.

* At 339 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing
  waterspouts were located along a line extending from near Mobjack
  Bay to near Coleman Bridge to 8 nm west of Poquoson, moving east at
  20 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

  New Point Comfort around 350 PM EDT.
  Gwynns Island and York Spit Reef around 355 PM EDT.
