...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN SANDOVAL AND BERNALILLO
COUNTIES THROUGH 600 PM MDT...

At 535 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles west of Northern Meadows, or 11 miles west of Rio Rancho,
moving south at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Northwestern Albuquerque and southwestern Rio Rancho.

This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 150 and 154.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

Heavy rains will cause water to pond on roads and in low spots. Fast
running water will quickly fill arroyos and ditches.
