At 1224 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Cold Brook Reservoir, or 3 miles northeast of Hot Springs, moving south at 15 mph. HAZARD...Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. This severe storm will be near... Hot Springs, Oral, Maverick Junction, and Angostura Reservoir around 1230 PM MDT. Other locations in the path of this severe thunderstorm include Smithwick. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... This storm is producing large hail. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows. If on or near Angostura Reservoir, get away from the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles from the parent thunderstorm.
