AREA...Southeast Oklahoma and West Central Arkansas.

DISCUSSION...
Ongoing showers and thunderstorms will gradually shift
southeastward through the afternoon with locally heavy rainfall
possible. A strong to marginally severe storm with some strong
wind gusts will also remain possible, mainly across parts of
southeast Oklahoma where instability is greatest over the
afternoon. Additional thunderstorm development is expected across
northeast Oklahoma later this evening and overnight with more
heavy rainfall/localized flooding possible due to the tropical
airmass in place and slow moving nature of any storms.

The combination of heat and humidity will also provide dangerous
heat index conditions across far southeast Oklahoma and west
central Arkansas ahead of the storm complex this afternoon, with
heat index values in excess of 100 degrees for some locations.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
The remnants of "Beryl" could affect parts of eastern Oklahoma
and western Arkansas Monday and Tuesday. Heavy rainfall will be
possible, especially across the eastern half of the forecast area.
Hotter weather is expected to return by next weekend.
