Hot and humid conditions this afternoon will lead to dangerous heat areawide, with heat index values ranging from 105 to 113 across the area. The area at greatest risk will be across northeast Oklahoma, mainly along and east of Highway 75. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Spotter Activation Not Expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday. TUESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...Dangerous Heat Potential. WEDNESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...Dangerous Heat Potential...Heavy Rain Potential. THURSDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. FRIDAY...No Hazards. SATURDAY AND SUNDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... Another hot day is expected on Tuesday before a frontal boundary approaches portions of northeast Oklahoma Tuesday afternoon. A few thunderstorms could develop along this boundary. Modest instability could lead to a few strong to severe storms, with damaging wind gusts the primary threat. The ridge shifts back west by Wednesday and cooler temperatures will follow the frontal boundary, along with continued thunderstorm chances.
