HEAVY RAIN. RISK...Limited. AREA...Eastern Oklahoma. ONSET...Late This Evening and Overnight. THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING. RISK...Elevated. AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas. ONSET...Late This Evening and Overnight. DISCUSSION... Showers and thunderstorms will increase in coverage across eastern Oklahoma this evening before spreading eastward into northwest Arkansas late overnight. Thunderstorms will be slow moving and may train over areas for prolonged periods of time tonight. This may result in heavy rainfall with at least a marginal risk of localized flash flooding for those who receive the most rain. Otherwise, severe weather is not expected. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Spotter Activation Not Expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... Cool, yet unstable, weather will persist through Monday with periodic showers and thunderstorms across the region. Then, heading into the middle of next week temperatures will remain below normal but begin to slowly moderate.
