...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 AM CDT
FOR WESTERN JEFFERSON...NORTHEASTERN SHAWNEE AND SOUTHEASTERN JACKSON
COUNTIES...

At 748 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Denison to 4 miles southeast of Valley Falls to 4
miles east of Perry Lake, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...At 7:47AM, fire chief reported 70MPH winds 1 mile south of
         Valley Falls.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
         homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Valley Falls, Meriden, Ozawkie, Denison, and Perry Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
