...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN JEFFERSON AND
CENTRAL DOUGLAS COUNTIES THROUGH 830 AM CDT...

At 802 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles east of Williamstown to 4 miles west of
Eudora to near Pleasant Grove. Movement was east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Strong wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Lawrence, Eudora, Lone Star, Pleasant Grove, Williamstown, and
Vinland.

This includes Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 197 and 205.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 AM CDT for
northeastern and east central Kansas.
