Northwest winds to start the day will give way to southwest winds this afternoon. With surf around 1 foot, a moderate risk of rip currents can be expected today. However, if there is an uptick in wind speeds this afternoon, a high risk is not out of the question much like yesterday at Gulf and Franklin county beaches.
