.THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK...

Long period swell associated with distant Tropical Storm Beryl is now
arriving along area beaches and will linger through the weekend. This
will favor the development of dangerous rip currents from this
evening through the weekend. If visiting the beach, please be familiar
with the dangers of rip currents and heed the advice of local beach
officials. Be aware of what beach flags are flying. Single red flags
imply that life threatening rip currents are likely in the surf zone.
Double red flags mean that the water is closed to the public.

Based on communication with area beach officials, the following flags
are flying at area beaches:

Bay...........................Double Red
State Park Gulf Beaches.......Yellow
West Facing Gulf Beaches......Yellow
South Facing Gulf Beaches.....Yellow
