If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather Service. ...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR DRY THUNDERSTORMS AND GUSTY OUTFLOW WINDS... .DISCUSSION...Enough moisture will remain in place for at least the next 5 days to support daily shower and thunderstorm activity. Showers and thunderstorms will develop over terrain each day during the late morning and early afternoon hours and continue into the early evening hours most days. Showers and thunderstorms will be capable of producing gusty and erratic winds. Activity will be mainly dry with some wet cores mixed in, with activity trending slightly wetter by late in the week and into next weekend. Other than outflow winds, not much day to day change in valley winds. Ridgetop winds largely follow transport winds each day. We will be watching for a trough to move through the Northern Rockies late in the week or into next weekend. Most models have this trough, but there is considerable uncertainty surrounding the timing, with some models even holding this trough off until early next week. .TODAY...
