.DISCUSSION...Hot and very dry conditions will persist at the
burn site through the end of the week. Some cumulus buildups will
be possible this afternoon over the higher terrain to the east but
are not likely to affect the burn site. These cumulus buildups
will gradually increase Friday into the weekend as midlevel
moisture slowly increases into the area. Could see isolated dry
lightning activity at the burn site Saturday and/or Sunday
(accompanied by a threat of brief, gusty microburst winds) before
the airmass moistens enough to bring a greater chance of
measurable rain by early next week, although wetting rain chances
remain on the low side. Otherwise, terrain-driven winds will be
relatively through Friday as high pressure drifts over the area,
but may see some occasional afternoon gusts up to around 16 mph.
