NORTHWESTERN SABINE...CLAIBORNE...BIENVILLE...EASTERN BOSSIER... NORTHWESTERN LINCOLN PARISHES IN NORTH CENTRAL LOUISIANA AND EAST CENTRAL SHELBY COUNTIES THROUGH 730 PM CDT... At 639 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Haynesville to 8 miles west of Homer to near Sibley to 12 miles northeast of Mansfield to 10 miles southeast of Logansport. Movement was southeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Bossier City, Minden, Springhill, Mansfield, Homer, Junction City, Haughton, Arcadia, Haynesville, Coushatta, Zwolle, Ringgold, Sibley, Cullen, Cotton Valley, Gibsland, Sarepta, Doyline, Converse, and Dixie Inn. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
