One more hot day is expected today with high pressure aloft still influencing our weather across the region. However, a major pattern shift is expected by this evening and overnight with a deep trough helping to usher a cold front into the area. This cold front will be the catalyst for increasing showers and thunderstorms through the remainder of this week as it slowly advances southward across our fire districts before struggling to exit the region. Therefore, unsettled weather is likely to extend into the weekend as the cold front becomes stationary across the region.
