...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Texas...

  Neches River Near Alto affecting Anderson, Houston, Cherokee and
  Trinity Counties.

For the Neches River...including Alto...Moderate flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING UNTIL FURTHER
NOTICE...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Neches River near Alto.

* WHEN...From this evening until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Lowland flooding of the heavily wooded
  floodplain will continue for the next several days.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:15 AM CDT Monday the stage was 6.2 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    this evening and continue rising to a crest of 19.9 feet
    early tomorrow afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    19.7 feet on 02/19/1950.
