155 FXUS64 KSHV 200539 AAA AFDSHV Area Forecast Discussion...UPDATED National Weather Service Shreveport LA 1239 AM CDT Sat Jul 20 2024 ...New AVIATION... .UPDATE... Issued at 929 PM CDT Fri Jul 19 2024 Just about clear skies across the Four State Region tonight as the afternoon cumulus field dissipated on schedule following sunset. Some light upper level cirrus is drifting west to east across east Texas and into NW Louisiana. RGB NT Microphysics imagery does show some low clouds, maybe some fog or mist developing along the lower and shallow areas of the ArkLaTex, but confidence at this time is not high enough to support widespread fog probs overnight. A stalled boundary remains oriented SW to NE stretching from the Houston, TX metro up through Toledo Bend, remaining just south of the Ouachita parish line. If any light, but brief, showers were to develop it would be along this axis, but most of that should hold off until tomorrow afternoon, if at all. Aside from this, cooler and quiet conditions should prevail overnight with temperatures in the 60`s and low 70`s come sunrise, Saturday. RK && .AVIATION... (06Z TAFS) Issued at 1239 AM CDT Sat Jul 20 2024 VFR conditions will continue through the 20/06Z TAF period. Scattered areas of cu may redevelop overnight and spread W across portions of Lower E TX/NCntrl LA, but may only affect the LFK/MLU terminals. Otherwise, areas of cirrus will also continue to spread E across the I-20 corridor of E TX/N LA overnight, with SKC expected at TXK/ELD. A scattered cu field should redevelop by late morning/midday over the area, before diminishing by or shortly after 00Z Sunday. Should also see some areas of cirrus increase from the NW across NE TX/SE OK/Wrn AR Saturday evening, with elevated cigs possible by/prior to daybreak over these areas. Lt/Vrb winds overnight will become NNE around 5kts after 16Z. /15/ && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
