This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Marginal hail risk.
  Slight thunderstorm wind damage risk.
  Significant lightning risk.
  Significant excessive heat risk.
  Elevated excessive rainfall risk

DISCUSSION...

Showers and thunderstorms will increase late this afternoon and
evening across southeast Kansas and southern Missouri. A few
storms could produce large hail to the size of quarters and
damaging winds of 60 to 70 mph. Frequent lightning will occur with
the storms. Highest chances for severe storms are along and south
of Interstate 44 through 11pm.

Flash flooding will be a concern this evening into the overnight
hours if storms move over the same locations. Highest chances for
flooding are along and south of Interstate 44.

Heat indices of 100 to 104 degrees will continue late this
afternoon for locations along the Missouri and Arkansas state
line.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Thunderstorms may linger into Wednesday morning for areas near the
Missouri and Arkansas state line.

Thunderstorm chances increase Sunday through Monday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

 Spotter activation may be needed tonight for locations along and
 south of Interstate 44.
