.SHORT TERM /THROUGH FRIDAY/...

Surface high pressure will move over the Midwest today bringing a
pleasant end to the work week with high/low temperatures almost 10
degrees below normal for this time of year. High temperatures in the
short term period will be in the low to mid 80s with mostly sunny
skies. Relative humidity values will be in the 50% range, giving us
a break from the summer heat. Low temperatures will be in the upper
50s to lower 60s for the next couple of nights with clear skies and
light east-northeasterly winds.

.LONG TERM /SATURDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY/...

Saturday will be very similar to Thursday and Friday with highs in
the lower 80s. Though, moisture returns Saturday night as a mid-
level trough begins to move over the Midwest. Winds become southerly
again overnight and lows will be a bit warmer in the mid to upper
60s as clouds build in.

Rain chances return early Sunday morning, particularly for locations
west of Highway 65. Multiple shortwaves will traverse around the
base of the trough leading to an active start to next week. Rain
chances are between 30 to 50 percent Sunday through Wednesday with
the highest chances of rain occurring in the afternoon hours with
brief breaks in precipitation throughout each day. Though, high/low
temperatures still remain a few degrees below normal through mid-
week.
