PORTIONS OF WESTERN WASHINGTON...
...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM SATURDAY TO 11 PM PDT

.DISCUSSION...A strong upper-level ridge is amplifying across the
PNW as hot and continued dry weather take aim. Fuels are expected to
dry rapidly during this stretch leading to the threat for elevated
fire weather concerns. A red flag warning has been issued for Cascade
zones 658 and 659 for hot, dry, and unstable conditions beginning on
Saturday. Model trends are continuing to push back the improving
fire weather conditions into Tuesday-Wednesday.

Forecast for 20 foot wind speed (valleys and ridge tops) are 10
 minute averages reflecting RAWS winds.
