Dry conditions with above normal temperatures are expected going
through the weekend and into early next week. Diurnal and terrain
driven winds are also in the forecast, outside of periodic breezy
conditions in the afternoons. Chances (5-20%) for afternoon and
evening showers and isolated t-storms are seen each day with the
highest chances on Saturday mainly over the Sierra Nevada.

Shower and storm chances will continue during the afternoon and
evening through the weekend with the best chances remaining
confined to areas south of US-50 today before expanding northward
through the weekend and into early next week. Main concerns
include gusty and erratic outflow winds and dry lightning strikes.
Increased westerly afternoon winds are possible early next week
as a system approaches the West Coast.

Showers and thunderstorms are possible each day during the
afternoon and evening through the forecast period with the highest
chances currently being for today. Hot temperatures will continue
through the next week which will allow for minimum relative
humidity values of 10-20% across the lower and mid elevations.
Light ambient winds will prevail, however strong and gusty winds
will be found wherever there is thunderstorm activity.
