These storms will be capable of strong and gusty outflow winds. Hot temperatures with highs around 100 degrees for lower valleys will persist through the middle of next week, then cool down to more typical July values by late next week with increased breezes. $$ ECC009-012-212115- Plumas NF-Tahoe Basin, Sierra Foothills and El Dorado NF- Discussion for Quincy and Camino 203 PM PDT Sat Jul 20 2024 Thunderstorms will possible this afternoon across portions of the eastern Sierra mainly south of US-50. Isolated storm chances will persist into early next week along with hot temperatures for valleys and foothills west of the Sierra crest. Hot temperatures with highs above 100 degrees for the Chalfant and Owens valleys will persist through the middle of next week, then slowly cool down to more typical July values by late next week. $$
