Discussion for Susanville and Quincy
240 AM PDT Sat Jul 6 2024

The heatwave continues to bring well above normal temperatures,
low daytime humidities and poor overnight recoveries, as well as
deep afternoon mixing heights through next week. Typical afternoon
and evening breezes return on Sunday into next week with periods
of elevated to locally critical fire weather conditions. Elevated
conditions are likely late this afternoon over the Surprise
Valley and northern Washoe. Precipitation chances are less than
5%, but can`t rule out an isolated afternoon storm early next
week.
