Initial storm development is forecast across the higher terrain, and storms should move into the Interstate 25 corridor this afternoon. The main storm risks will be outflow wind gusts to 40 mph, small hail under half an inch in diameter, lightning, and heavy rainfall. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect from 10 AM this morning into this evening for the Interstate 25 corridor, Wet Mountains and southern Sangre de Cristo Mountains. These areas saw heavy rain yesterday, and the ground is saturated, elevating the flash flood risk for today. Burn scars, urban areas and flood prone areas will be most susceptible to flash flooding. Remember, if you encounter flooded roadways, turn around, don`t drown! .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday Daily isolated to scattered afternoon rain showers and thunderstorms are expected for Monday through Saturday. The greatest coverage will be along and around the mountains. Expected hazards with any more organized storms will be gusty winds, small hail, heavy rain, and lightning. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
