.DISCUSSION...

A cold front in place across the plains will usher in cooler
temperatures and higher relative humidity values today, and help
support additional shower and thunderstorm chances over much of
southern Colorado this afternoon into the evening. The strongest
storms over the higher terrain will be capable of producing gusty
winds up to 50 mph and brief heavy downpours. Early morning
westerly drainage winds will shift more to the east southeast by
late morning and midday. A wetter pattern will be in place for
much of the week into the weekend, with daily chances for showers
and thunderstorms, along with the risk for heavy rainfall.
