Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
321 AM MDT Sun Jul 7 2024

.Discussion...

Cooler weather with a good chance of showers and storms will
occur today over the plains while the interior higher country will
remain dry and warm. Spotty critical fire weather conditions will
be possible across the interior today, especially in parts of the
San Luis Valley and the greater La Garita mountain region.

For tomorrow, it will be a bit cooler over the entire district
as compared to today, although it will be drier across the plains,
with only scattered storms possible, especially over the southern
mountain region and southern San Juan mountain areas.

Starting Tuesday, it will start to get hot once again, and
temperatures will continue to increase each day this upcoming
week, with temperatures reaching the 100s once again across the
plains by late in the week. This very hot spell will last into the
weekend. Some showers and thunderstorms will be possible over the
mountain each day next week.

Smoke dispersion will be good or better over the entire district
both this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon.
