.DISCUSSION...High pressure ridge remains in firm control over the
next several days, promoting hot and dry conditions across the
site. Relative humidities will most definitely remain critical,
with values into the single digits expected. The pressure gradient
should keep winds light through Friday, but Saturday there is a
chance we could see enhanced winds mix down to the surface from
the mid-levels. If this occurs, at minimum it looks that we will
see enhanced fire weather concerns, but there is a chance we could
be looking at near red flag concerns from sustained winds 15-20
mph. Currently, we`re erring on the low side with winds generally
around 6-12 mph from the northwest for the site, but we`ll
continue to watch forecast updates tonight and tomorrow to see how
models handle the mid-level winds and their influence on the
lower levels.
