The 4th of July into Friday will see multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms. A few of the storms may be strong to severe. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches with locally higher amounts may produce flash flooding, especially on soils which received heavy rain this past evening. Cooler and drier conditions are forecast for the weekend with winds shifting to the northwest following an early Friday morning cold front. Rain chances return next week.
