.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 232 AM CDT Fri Jul 19 2024

Overall it`s a rather straight forward forecast as we remain in
general troughiness aloft through the next week. At the sfc we
have high pressure through this weekend. Energy then descends
through the central Plains and shifts the upper trof to the west
slightly and brings an inverted sfc trof up into the area on
Sunday into Monday. This brings back small PoPs to west Kentucky
Sunday afternoon and then increases in coverage into Monday.

A warm front then lifts north on Tuesday and brings an increase in
moisture with dew points back into the 70s and increases in PoPs to
liklies each afternoon through Thursday. Chance PoPs then continue
through Friday. With very little shear present, severe weather looks
unlikely, but localized flooding may be possible. As far as
temperatures go, we will gradually warm through the weekend to the
mid to upper 80s. Temperatures will still be below average though
through the whole of next week.
