The Fourth of July will feature high temperatures in the 80s and low 90s with seasonably low relative humidity and light winds. Warm, dry, and gusty west winds up to 25 mph will develop in the Cascade gaps and Waterville Plateau in the latter half of Friday afternoon. Confidence is growing that near record heat will occur Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday along with low daytime relative humidity and poor overnight recoveries. We will be keeping a close eye on how the hot ridge will break down.
