The areas affected include... Central Long Island Sound... At 758 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near New Haven Harbor to 9 nm east of Stratford Shoal to near Herod Point, moving northeast at 30 knots.
