.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...A cold front will drift S over
the far S waters today as a weak low moves E along the front. The
low will quickly move E of the area while pulling the cold front
S of the area tonight into Fri. High pressure will build E over
the N portion tonight into Fri, then shift E of the region Fri
night into Sat night while maintaining a ridge across the waters.
Hurricane Ernesto will track N to NE to the SE of the area Thu
night into Fri, then turn N Fri night into Sat night while
passing E of the southern and central waters. Ernesto will then
accelerate NE Sun and Sun night while passing E of the northern
waters, and continuing to move to the NE away from the area Mon.
S to SE swell from Ernesto will move N and NW into the waters Thu
into Fri, and then continue Fri night through Sun. See the latest
advisory from the National Hurricane Center on Hurricane Ernesto.
The NAVTEX stations in Charleston and Chesapeake have been
reported to be inoperable.
