West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...A high pressure ridge will
persist from the outer portion of the waters east and
southeastward tonight through Fri night, with the ridge
strengthening Thu into Fri night. A stationary front along the
New Jersey and Delmarva coast will persist tonight, and then
weaken Mon. An upper level low pressure trough will drift W over
the far S waters tonight through Mon night. A weak surface low
pressure trough will prevail just inland from the coast Mon night
into Wed. A cold front will approach from the W Wed night into
Thu night, and then stall just inland from the coast Fri and Fri
night. Chesapeake NAVTEX is reported inoperable. Technicians are
aware. We apologize for the inconvenience.

39.3N 71.9W...SW to 37.7N 72.9W
