New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...High pressure over the central
Atlantic will shift slightly SE today as a weak cold front pushes
SE across the waters. The front will move SE of the waters
tonight and Mon. Another weak cold front will move E across the
waters late Mon through late Tue. A stronger cold front will
approach the waters from the W Wed night, then move slowly SE
over the area Thu and Thu night while the central Atlantic high
drifts back to the W.

Gulf of Maine to the Hague Line

.TODAY...W to SW winds less than 10 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Areas of
fog with vsby 1 nm or less.
.TONIGHT...SW winds 10 to 15 kt, diminishing to 5 to 10 kt. Seas
3 to 4 ft. Areas of fog with vsby 1 nm or less.
.MON...SW winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming S to SW 10 to 15 kt. Seas
3 to 4 ft. Areas of fog with vsby 1 nm or less.
.MON NIGHT...SW winds 10 to 20 kt, becoming 10 to 15 kt. Seas
3 to 5 ft. Areas of fog, isolated showers and tstms with vsby
1 nm or less.
