...Excessive Heat Warnings/Advisories Today through Saturday...

.DISCUSSION...It`s going to be very hot this week with strong high
pressure in place. Please be alert of how these hot temperatures
can negatively impact us so you can take the precautions to
address this prolonged hot spell.
Do NOT leave children or pets in cars as lethal impacts can occur
in a few minutes in a parked car.

The combination of hot temperatures and dry conditions (lower
Relative Humidities) can quickly lead to dehydration so drink
plenty of fluids throughout the day.

Hot temperatures, in the 90s and 100s, will occur through this
upcoming weekend.

The hottest temperatures will occur Tuesday through Thursday

- Central Idaho Valleys...105-112 degrees.
- Western Montana...Mid 90s up to 105 degrees.
- Southwest Montana...Mid 90s.

A brief noticeable change will occur Thursday. The ridge will
flatten a bit and allow for some increased westerly winds gusting
to around 20 mph which could impact wildland fire concerns.

The Climate Prediction Center continues to show a high likelihood
for well above normal temperatures persisting through the weekend
of the 20th.

Some monsoonal moisture will try to make its way into central
Idaho and western Montana Sunday and Monday. How deep and amount
of moisture is uncertain at this time for any thunderstorms next
weekend.
