FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
451 AM EDT Sat Jul 20 2024

...A round of showers today followed by a dry Sunday...

.DISCUSSION:

A cold front passing from north to south today will bring up
to 50% chances of rain by the early afternoon hours. While
no particular severe weather is expected, some lighting is
possible. Winds will veer from westerly ahead of the front
to northerly and northeasterly behind the front with wind
gusts up to 15 mph. The passing rain showers will keep
minimum RHs in the 50s and 60s percent range.

Sunday, high pressure filling in behind the front will bring
dry weather to the UP. Under clear skies, minimum RHs will
fall to the upper 30s and 40s. Winds will be light and mainly
out of the northeast except in the vicinity of the lake breeze,
which will push well inland from Lake Superior but not as far
from Lake Michigan.
