...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM CDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Alabama, including the following
  county, Mobile.

* WHEN...Until 300 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1147 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated slow moving
    thunderstorms producing very heavy rainfall over West Mobile
    near Mobile Regional Airport, near Semmes, and also near the
    community of Citronelle. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain with
    localized higher totals near 4 inches have fallen over
    portions of the advisory area late this evening. Ponding of
    water on area roadways and minor flooding of urban and low
    lying areas can be expected.

    Citronelle, Gulfcrest, Semmes, Tanner Williams, Wilmer,
    Mobile Regional Airport, Millertown, Lott, Boothetown,
    Warley, Moffet, Earlville, Lambert, Russell, Orchard, Sidney,
    Scoutshire Woods, Wheelerville, Forest Hill and West Hill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
