We will continue to monitor for the need for Heat Advisories, especially Monday. Peak heat indices are forecast to reach at least 102-107F through the period, potentially 108-110F on Monday. High temperatures are forecast in the lower to mid-90s into at least Monday. Warm air aloft will, again, limiting shower and thunderstorm development this afternoon, though highest coverage (Isolated to Scattered) is expected across the interior. Deeper moisture and boundary collisions focused more across the eastern peninsula will lead to increasing chances Monday through much of next week. Storm threats will remain locally gusty winds 35 to 45 mph, cloud-to-ground lightning strikes, and locally heavy rainfall. Light winds will transition onshore again today, then become light S/SSW tonight. The offshore wind component will continue into mid- week, though expect winds to back along the coast due to sea breeze formation at least for Monday and Tuesday. Fair to Generally Good dispersion is forecast today and Generally Good to Very Good for Monday and Tuesday. Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast. Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
